Ready Stance:
① Feet together, standing upright. Hands with fingers close together, arms straight and held close to the outside of the thighs. Eyes look forward (Fig 1①).
② Right foot steps forward into a Double Bow Stance . Hands form Tiger Palms , draw upward from the waist and push forward at chest level: Right palm at shoulder height, palm facing forward; Left palm higher than the chest, palm facing forward. Eyes look forward (Fig 1②).

Salute Fist (Qing Quan):
|Feet remain unchanged. Right forearm rotates outward (supinates), right Tiger Palm changes to fist, bends at the elbow and draws back to the center of the chest, fist-palm facing backward. Left Tiger Palm adheres to the back (knuckle ridge) of the right fist. Eyes look forward (Fig 2).

1. Horse Stance Double Flicking Palms (Shuang Hu Zhang - Twin Tiger Palms)Right foot withdraws and steps out to the right side. Both legs bend at the knees, sinking into a Horse Stance (slightly higher center of gravity). Simultaneously, both hands change to palms and flick outward, separating, using the radial bone (thumb side) as the power point. Both elbows remain bent; hands stop beside and slightly in front of the shoulders, palms angled backward and upward. Eyes look forward (Fig 3).Key Points: Steps must be agile, body stable. The power release should contain an elastic, flicking quality.

2. Horse Stance Double Chopping Palms (Lan Zhang - Blocking Palms)Both elbows flare outward. Both palms chop violently downward towards the lower abdomen, using the little finger side (ulnar edge) as the power point (center of gravity lowers slightly). Both palms face backward. Eyes watch the palms (Fig 4).Key Points: Palms must chop downward with fierce power.

3. Double Bow Stance Left Blocking Palm (Hu Shua Lian - Tiger Brushes Face)Left foot steps forward into a Double Bow Stance . Simultaneously, left palm forms a Tiger Palm, moving outward, upward, forward, then inward in a blocking motion. Elbow remains curved; left Tiger Palm stops at shoulder height, palm facing right. Right palm changes to fist, bends at the elbow, and draws back to the right waist (chambered), fist-palm facing up. Eyes watch the left palm (Fig 5).Key Points: Left foot forward step must be fast. Left palm blocking motion must be swift and powerful.

4. Double Bow Stance Right Smashing Fist (Dang Men Chui - Door-Barring Hammer)Right foot steps forward into a Double Bow Stance . Simultaneously, right fist draws up from the waist, arcs forward and upward, then smashes forward. Right elbow bends; fist stops at shoulder height, fist-palm facing backward and upward. Left Tiger Palm changes to fist, bends at the elbow, and draws back to the left waist (chambered), fist-palm facing up. Eyes watch the right fist (Fig 6).Key Points: Right fist smash must be powerful and fast.

5. Empty Stance Backward Whipping Fist (Hu Wei Chui - Tiger Tail Hammer)Right foot steps backward. Center of gravity shifts back. Bend knees to form a Left Empty Stance (most weight on right leg). Simultaneously, as stepping back, the right fist whips backward past the right hip, power focused on the back of the fist, fist-palm facing forward. Left fist changes to Tiger Palm, draws from the waist, bends at the elbow, and rises to frame upward in front of the left forehead, palm facing forward. Eyes look forward (Fig 7).Key Points: The movement must flow continuously in one breath. The power release must be crisp and sudden.

6. Pressing Hands Snap Kick (Dan Feng Chao Yang - Red Phoenix Facing the Sun)① Left foot lifts slightly, turns inward (pivots), and settles. Bend left knee to stand stable. Lift right knee, bending the leg. Simultaneously, body turns 90° to the right, face due West. Both hands form Tiger Palms, drawing upward from the abdomen, then pressing apart inward toward the sides (withdrawing/pressing), stopping beside and in front of each shoulder. Elbows bent. Palms angled downward. Tiger mouths facing forward. Eyes look downward and forward (Fig 8①).
② Without pausing (continuation of above movement), hand form unchanged. Snap kick right leg directly forward, height level with the waist, foot dorsiflexed. Power focused on the ball of the foot/toes. Eyes watch the right foot (Fig 8②).Key Points: During the snap kick, the toes should not rise above waist height.
